Joe Rogan, a popular podcaster known for his candid conversations, has challenged vaccine “expert” Peter Hotez to a debate on his podcast, featuring Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Rogan, who often explores various topics including vaccines, has offered to donate $100,000 to a charity of Hotez’s choice if he agrees to publicly debate RFK Jr.
This offer came about after Hotez shared a Vice article on Twitter titled “Spotify Has Stopped Even Sort of Trying to Stem Joe Rogan’s Vaccine Misinformation,” which criticized Rogan for inviting RFK Jr. to discuss the potential negative impacts of vaccines on his podcast.
In response to Hotez’s tweet, Rogan questioned the characterization of RFK Jr.’s statements as “misinformation” and put forward the $100,000 challenge. He extended an invitation to Hotez for a debate on his show, emphasizing that there would be no time limit, creating a platform for an informed and respectful exchange of ideas.
RFK Jr. promptly accepted the challenge, saying, “Peter. Let’s finally have the respectful, congenial, informative debate that the American people deserve.”
Hotez declined the offer and instead expressed a desire to appear on Rogan’s show without having a debate with RFK Jr.
The debate pot for Peter Hotez to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience has now surpassed $1.5 million, with the option for him to select a charity of his choice. This amount does not include additional pledges that may have been made.
Following Joe Rogan’s challenge to Dr. Hotez for a debate with RFK Jr. regarding the vaccine’s legitimacy, Elon Musk joined the conversation and called Hotez out, saying, “He’s afraid of public debate, because he knows he’s wrong.”
Of course, Professor Hotez then called Robert Kennedy is a “science denier.” They’re all using the same playbook.
Here’s a breakdown of the conversation:
