Border patrol agents under Joe Biden’s administration are cutting down razor wire installed by Texas along the southern border, in order to allow illegal aliens to enter the United States.

In response to this situation, Governor Greg Abbott (R) has dispatched personnel and resources to the border with the goal of curbing the influx of the illegals that the Biden regime is allowing to enter the country.

More video shared by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin shows more than a dozen illegals being let in by an agent through the cut razor wire.

“By cutting Texas’s concertina wire, the federal government has not only illegally destroyed property owned by the State of Texas; it has also disrupted the State’s border security efforts, leaving gaps in Texas’s border barriers and damaging Texas’s ability to effectively deter illegal entry into its territory,” the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas says.

“Texas brings this lawsuit to end this ongoing, unlawful practice which undermines its border security efforts. This Court can and should enjoin the federal defendants from continuing to destroy and damage private property that is not theirs—without statutory authority and in violation of both state and federal law,” it argues.

The Texas lawsuit underscores the historical use of razor wire for border security, emphasizing that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has previously stated it “serves as a deterrent” to prevent illegal border crossings. During September and October, when the U.S. was experiencing record numbers of illegals crossing the border, the federal government repeatedly removed or damaged the wire, resulting in damage to private property and disruption of border security.

The legal action argues that the federal government’s repeated destruction of the concertina wire has caused harm and increased expenses for healthcare, public education, incarceration, and driver’s licenses. Texas has a sovereign right to construct barriers aimed at preventing illegal migration and calls upon the courts to put an end to this unlawful practice.

This lawsuit comes after federal authorities raised concerns about the potential infiltration by members of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and Hezbollah through the southern border.

Federal agents are not only accused of destroying the concertina wire but are also actively assisting thousands of illegal aliens in their unlawful crossing of the Rio Grande into Texas. Some agents have gone to the extent of enabling these crossings by affixing ropes or cables to vehicles, essentially establishing improvised pathways up the riverbank into Texas. Furthermore, these agents have been cutting new openings in the wire fence, occasionally doing so immediately after Texas authorities have repaired previous breaches.

“By cutting Texas’s concertina wire, the federal government has not only illegally destroyed property owned by the State of Texas; it has also disrupted the State’s border deterrence efforts, leaving gaps in Texas’s border barriers and damaging Texas’s ability to effectively deter illegal entry into Texas,” according to the press release.

“With this lawsuit, Attorney General Paxton seeks to end this ongoing, unlawful practice which undermines Texas’s border security efforts. Texas is asking the court to enjoin the federal defendants from continuing to destroy and damage private property—without statutory authority and in violation of federal law,” it added.
