A CIA whistleblower has come forward, claiming that the CIA meddled in the investigation into the origins of COVID-19. According to letters sent by House Coronavirus Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner, the CIA provided “significant financial incentives” to officials to alter their findings.

In a separate letter addressed to CIA Director William Burns and former CIA COO Andrew Makridis, Representatives Brad Wenstrup (R-OH 2nd District) and Mike Turner (R-OH 10th District) shed new light on the actions of the agency regarding the origins of COVID-19.

“The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic (Select Subcommittee) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) (together “the Committees”) have received new and concerning whistleblower testimony regarding the Agency’s investigation into the origins of COVID-19,” as stated in the letter addressed to CIA Director William Burns by Representatives Wenstrup and Turner on Tuesday.

“A multi-decade, senior-level, current Agency officer has come forward to provide information to the Committees regarding the Agency’s analysis into the origins of COVID-19,” the letter read.

The CIA deployed a team of seven officers known as the COVID Discovery Team with a specific mandate to investigate the origin of COVID-19.

According to a credible whistleblower from within the CIA, the agency reportedly provided “significant monetary incentives” to members of a COVID-19 investigative team in an attempt to influence their positions regarding the virus’s origin. Initially, six out of the seven members of this COVID Discovery Team were inclined toward a “low confidence assessment” that suggested the virus likely originated in a Wuhan laboratory.

Per the whistleblower’s account, at the conclusion of their assessment, six out of the seven members of the Team were of the opinion that the available intelligence and scientific data justified a “low confidence assessment” that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. The seventh member, coincidentally the most senior officer, held the belief that COVID-19 resulted from “zoonosis,” as conveyed by Wenstrup and Turner.

They further stated, “The whistleblower further contends that to come to the eventual public determination of uncertainty, the other six members were given a significant monetary incentive to change their position.”

Wenstrup and Turner have established a deadline of September 26, 2023, for the CIA to provide all pertinent records and are calling for a thorough investigation:

  • All documents and communications regarding the establishment of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s);
  • All documents and communications between or among the members of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s) regarding the origins of COVID-19;
  • All documents and communications between or among members of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s) and other employees or contractors of the Agency regarding the origins of COVID-19;
  • All documents and communications between or among members of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s) and employees or contractors of other federal government agencies, including but not limited to the U.S. Department of State, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (to include the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), and the U.S. Department of Energy regarding the origins of COVID-19; and
  • All documents and communications regarding the pay history, to include the awarding of any type of financial or performance-based incentive/financial bonus to members of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s).

A separate letter was sent to the former CIA Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Makridis, who, according to the whistleblower, played a crucial role in establishing the team and shaping its final findings. Makridis has been invited to participate in a “voluntary transcribed interview” scheduled for September 26, 2023.

According to the letter sent to Makridis, “The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic (Select Subcommittee) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) (together “the Committees”) have received new and concerning whistleblower testimony regarding the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) investigation into the origins of COVID-19. Specifically, the whistleblower pointed the Committees to a CIA led COVID Discovery Team(s) in which you played a central role in its formation and eventual conclusion that the CIA was “unable to determine” the origins of COVID-19.”

This newly disclosed information appears to substantiate claims made by former EcoHealth Vice President and whistleblower Andrew Huff, suggesting that the U.S. government is attempting to conceal the origins of COVID-19 due to alleged funding by Dr. Fauci and the U.S. for gain-of-function research conducted at the Wuhan lab.

From Fox News:

A CIA whistleblower told Congress that the agency offered officials on a team investigating COVID-19 origins “significant monetary incentive” to change their positions, from that it originated out of a leak from the Wuhan lab to “unable to determine” the origins, Fox News Digital has learned.

Fox News Digital obtained letters House Coronavirus Subcommittee Chairman Brad Wenstrup and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner sent to the CIA and a former official.

“The Select Committee on the Coronavirus Pandemic and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence have received new and concerning whistleblower testimony regarding the Agency’s investigation into the origins of COVID-19,” Wenstrup and Turner wrote to CIA Director William Burns Tuesday.

“A multi-decade, senior-level, current Agency officer has come forward to provide information to the Committees regarding the Agency’s analysis into the origins of COVID-19,” they wrote.

The whistleblower told Congress that the CIA assigned seven officers to a COVID Discovery Team, which consisted of “multi-disciplinary and experienced officers with significant scientific expertise.”

“According to the whistleblower, at the end of its review, six of the seven members of the Team believed that intelligence and science were sufficient to make a low confidence assessment that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China,” Wenstrup and Turner wrote.

“The seventh member of the Team, who also happened to be the most senior, was the one officer to believe COVID-19 originated through zoonosis.”
