In an emotional interview on CNN, a resident of Maui slammed Joe Biden over the absence of government assistance for those affected by the devastating fires. With tears in their eyes, she asked, “Where is the president?,” criticizing his decision to not visit Hawaii until next Monday, adding, “Aren’t we Americans, too? Like we’re part of the United States but why are we being put in the back pocket? Why are we being ignored?”

Ella Sable Tacderan spoke with Kaitlan Collins and stated that the $700 check provided by Biden to affected households, including her parents was a “slap in the face” as it falls far short of covering necessary living expenses, particularly due to the high costs of groceries where a mere $700 might cover a single shopping trip for a family. Tacderan emphasized, “The Maui community has been helping the Maui community.” Notably, Tacderan is not merely complaining but is actively offering assistance. She is housing nearly three dozen survivors in her own home.

Joe Biden has consistently, and callously brushed off questions about the deadly Maui fires from reporters because he doesn’t care.
