In the most recent general election poll for the Arizona Senate race, Republican candidate Kari Lake has taken a sizable lead.

According to the VCreek/AMG poll published by Americas PAC, Lake leads over Democrat front-runner Rep. Ruben Gallego and independent incumbent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema.

Lake holds 41 percent support compared to Gallego’s 35 percent and Sinema’s 16 percent, with 7 percent undecided.

During a Fox Business appearance, Lake attributed her surge in the latest poll to the crisis at the southern border. She highlighted the significant influx of tens of thousands of illegal aliens from various parts of the world entering Arizona’s Tuscon and Lukesville sectors in recent weeks, breaking multiple records.

“Well, it’s the border and the economy and basically getting back to policies that make sense and help Arizona families so they feel secure,” Lake said in response to what the big issue is in the Arizona Senate race.

“People are really concerned about the future. They look back where they were four years ago — our border was secure, we had a great energy policy, our economy was growing. And now it’s just the opposite,” she added.

“We can’t take much more of this, and I think the American people have grown very tired of the Democrat policies.”
