The individual responsible for setting fire to homeowner John Kane’s “Trump Won” yard sign in Raleigh has been identified.
Homeowner John Kane shared surveillance footage capturing the incident on his property, seeking assistance in identifying the perpetrator. In the video, a bicyclist is observed approaching the Raleigh residence on August 12 and kicking the Trump sign.
Having failed to destroy the Trump sign during the first attempt, the same bicyclist returned at 4 am the following morning to set the sign on fire.
Kane has young children in his home who could have been hurt by the fire.
A reward of $1,000 was offered to anyone providing information that leads to the identification of the offender.
According to Kane, the suspect was tracked down by a man from Lodi, California by GPS and time stamped maps in videos.
The arsonist’s identity was confirmed by the tattoo on his forearm that he forgot to conceal during the crime.
