Yesterday Breaking Digest reported that the Boise Pride Festival was advertising a drag show for children ages 11-18, for which they faced backlash. At least one major sponsor as of yesterday, Zion Bank, withdrew their sponsorship, citing the “event’s activities involving children/minors”.

Today we have learned that Idaho Power and the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare have also withdrawn their sponsorships.

As a result of the backlash and loss of sponsors, Boise Pride has postponed the drag kids show.
