Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg has recently expressed a newfound respect and appreciation for President Trump, signaling a notable shift from his previous stance.
In an exclusive interview with The Times published on Sunday, Snoop Dogg, who has had a history of conflict with Trump, especially during the former president’s initial term, surprisingly revealed his change of heart.
“Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me,” the rapper said.
This change of heart, in part, stems from Trump’s decision to grant clemency to Michael “Harry-O” Harris, a co-founder of Death Row Records, Snoop’s first recording label, as reported by The Times.
“So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” Snoop Dogg added, referencing this act of clemency.

In the past, Snoop Dogg was known for openly criticizing Trump’s policies and actions.
In 2017, he found himself embroiled in a major controversy after releasing his music video for “Lavender” featuring BADBADNOTGOOD.
The video depicted Snoop Dogg pointing a toy gun at a clown resembling Trump, who was smoking a joint, and pulling the trigger to reveal a “BANG” flag. The video drew significant backlash, including a strong condemnation from Trump’s legal team and Trump himself, who suggested that Snoop Dogg should be arrested for his actions.
Later in 2017, he released a song titled “Make America Crip Again” in a jab at Trump’s campaign slogan. “The president said he wants to make America great again. F*** that s***, we’re going to make America crip again.”
“Certain people feel like we should make America ‘great again,’ but that time they’re referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation, so I’d rather Make America Crip Again,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement. “What I mean by that is, in my lifetime, that’s when young Black men in impoverished areas organized to help their communities and to take care of their own because society basically left them for dead.”
In 2018, Snoop shared a video showing himself smoking a blunt outside the White House, while saying, “f**k the president.”
In 2019, Snoop Dogg referred to President Trump as a “n*gger” in a brief, profanity-laden video. In the video, he urged federal government workers not to vote for Trump in the upcoming election, the partial shutdown over border wall funding, in which they did not get paid. Snoop said the workers would be “some stupid motherf*ckers” if they voted for Trump.
