Joe Biden is reportedly preparing to announce a new initiative that would grant legal status to illegal aliens who are married to U.S. citizens, according to four sources within the administration speaking to CBS News. The move is aimed at energizing progressive voters in an election year.

Sources indicate that Biden may announce the amnesty plan as soon as Tuesday during a White House event, as reported by two anonymous officials.

Known as “Parole in Place,” the proposal would create a pathway to permanent legal status and eventual U.S. citizenship for beneficiaries. It would allow illegal aliens to apply for green cards without needing to leave the country.

This would give illegals social security number which would allow them to work but it will also allow them to register to vote.

Under the plan, eligible individuals who entered the U.S. illegally could receive legal status and work permits if they have lived in the country for at least 10 years and are married to a U.S. citizen.

Additionally, the Biden administration is considering a separate measure to streamline the process for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients and other illegal aliens to request waivers. This would facilitate easier access to temporary visas such as H-1B visas for high-skilled workers, according to CBS News.

The sweeping amnesty plan, which could potentially benefit over one million illegal aliens, may be announced as early as Tuesday. White House officials are preparing for an event on that day to mark the 12th anniversary of former President Barack Obama’s illegal DACA executive order, which shields over 500,000 illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as children from deportation.

If implemented, the “Parole in Place” program would represent the largest amnesty initiative since DACA. The policy is expected to benefit approximately 1.1 million illegal aliens who are married to American citizens, provided they meet residency criteria and other stipulations.

Since Joe Biden took residence in the White House in 2021, over 10 million illegal aliens have entered the United States.
