A Nashville Doctor died suddenly at age 41.
Dr. Gregory Allen May, of Nashville, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 12, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital, after suffering a heart attack due to a large thrombosis (blood clot).
According to Dr. May’s obituary, he worked for Centerstone for nearly 20 years, in which he held many titles. In November of 2021, he began working for MedMark Treatment Center in Bloomington as Treatment Center Director. He also owned his own business, How to Save a Life LLC, providing American Red Cross instructional programs including First Aide, CPR, and AED courses to businesses and other organizations.

Greg grew up in Columbus, Ohio graduating from West High School with the class of 1999 and attended Fort Hayes Career Center from 1998-1999. With a desire to never stop learning, Greg earned an associate degree in general studies from Ivy Tech Community College in 2005, a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Oakland City University in 2007, a Master of Science in Management from Oakland City University in 2008. In 2014 he earned his Ed.D. becoming a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Oakland City University. Still continuing his never-ending education, Dr. May, earned another master’s becoming a Master of Social Work from Indianapolis University – Purdue University Indianapolis in 2020. In August of 2022, he earned his Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant IV (CADAC IV) certification from the Indiana Counselor’s Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA).

Greg was an incredible human being with an immeasurable drive to do good in this world. All who knew him or knew of him would have to agree that this world is truly a brighter, healthier, and happier place because of him. In his limited spare-time, he enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, reading, listening to music and podcasts, working out, and anything that would better himself.
