Analysis of mobile ad data reveals that an individual who frequently visited Crooks’ Pennsylvania residence also made visits to a building in Washington, D.C., near an FBI office.
The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project identified nine devices associated with ad-IDs that were located at both Crooks’ home and workplace over the past year.
Oversight Project shared their discoveries in a series of posts on Twitter/X.
According to Oversight Project, “We found the assassin’s connections through our in-depth analysis of mobile ad data to track movements of Crooks and his associates.”
“To do this, we tracked devices that regularly visited both Crooks’s home and place of work and followed them,” the Oversight Project wrote.
