Boston Mayor Michelle Wu appears to want to turn Boston into San Francisco decriminalizing theft. Wu also wants to abolish the gang registry.
You may recall, Wu decided to have a non-White holiday party for her city council members this past winter.
Before her election, Wu outlined her priorities in the detailed “2021 Boston Mayoral Candidate Questionnaire” from the far-left organization Progressive Massachusetts.
The now 39-year-old Democrat Mayor was asked a number of questions regarding laws in Boston. She responded at the time that she believed that those who commit what she called “quality of life” crimes should not be prosecuted. What does this include? Theft, shoplifting, breaking and entering, larceny, disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license and more.
When asked, “Do you support shuttering the Boston Police gang database?” Wu responded, “Yes.”
Boston's Democrat mayor Michelle Wu wants to abolish the gang registry and end all prosecutions for theft. Additionally, the mayor wants to publicize police personnel files relating to "use of force," which would effectively dox each and every one of them. https://t.co/PXbc7nOpWZ

Additionally, Wu informed the organization that she supports ending information sharing between the Boston Police Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Wu replied that she does support the list.
The mayor also informed the organization that she intends to eliminate the police department’s access to tear gas, rubber bullets, and attack dogs.
