It looks like Twitter’s Board and Law firm may be in some trouble.
Elon Musk accused the Twitter Board and the law firm that worked for Twitter, Wachtell, of deliberately withholding information from him and the court in a tweet Sunday night.
In his tweet, Musk wrote, “Watchtell & Twitter board deliberately hid this evidence from the court. Stay tuned, more to come…” and shared internal Twitter communications originating from Yoel Roth, the head of Safety and Integrity at Twitter.
In the messages, Roth suggests he would expose an apparent Twitter employee identified as “Amir” for falsifying his OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).
In one message, Roth wrote, “But also lol if Amir continues to BS me my escalation route is “Amir’s OKRs are entirely based on fraudulent metrics and he doesn’t care and may actively be trying to hide the ball.”
“Literally doing what Elon is accusing us of doing,” Roth wrote in a follow up message.
Not only might the Twitter Board and Watchtell be in trouble with the court for lying, but they would also be in trouble with the SEC for filing false statements.
Yoel Roth was the one who blocked the Hunter Biden Laptop story before the 2020 election and called Trump officials “actual Nazis.”
