A state teeming with sanctuary cities is now pleading for a halt to the continuous flow of illegal aliens crossing the southern border.

Massachusetts’ Democrat Governor Maura Healey sent top state officials to the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this week to address the surge of people moving into the Bay State.

The state representatives had a straightforward message for those they encountered along Texas’ southern border: Massachusetts is full.

Led by Emergency Assistance Director Scott Rice, the Massachusetts delegation visited various locations along the southern border to deliver this message.

“This trip is an important opportunity,” Rice said, according to WCVB, “to meet with families arriving in the U.S. and the organizations that work with them at the border to make sure they have accurate information about the lack of shelter space in Massachusetts.”

“It is essential that we get the word out that our shelters are full so that families can plan accordingly to make sure they have a safe place to go.”

The trip includes stops at locations in Texas along the Southern border, including the San Antonio Airport, a migrant processing center in McAllen, the Hidalgo Port of Entry, and the migrant complex in Brownsville.

Although not a “sanctuary state”, Massachusetts does contain many cities and municipalities that have declared themselves as “sanctuaries” for people who have entered the country illegally.

According to CBS News, some of the major cities in the state that have sanctuary laws on the books include Amherst, Boston, Cambridge, Concord, Newton and Somerville.
