Cosmetics retailer Lush, known for its tagline “the overly friendly cosmetics shop,” has sparked controversy due to a “boycott Israel” sign displayed in the window of its Dublin, Ireland store.
The retailer is now facing major backlash for its decision.
Calls to boycott the brand quickly started circulating on social media.

oh wow….looks like @lushcosmetics is an anti-semite company that chose the side of raping women in the streets and beheading infants.

Lush told Sky News in a statement:
“We are a diverse company with staff of all ethnicities and religions whose personal views and opinions may vary, however, the following is our Company position: Lush deplores all violence and all injustice.
“Our wish is for peace and safety for all Israeli and Palestinian people. We support the upholding of international law and the human rights of all peoples.”
Unfortunately, this is not the first time Lush has been accused of anti-Israel views.
In 2011, Lush endorsed a music single by OneWorld called “Freedom for Palestine,” described as a song demonizing Israel and Israelis and calling for Israel’s destruction.
