In a significant development this evening, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to censure dishonest Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff. The vote passed by a narrow margin of 212-208, officially designating Schiff as the 26th member of Congress in U.S. history to receive censure.
Schiff is accused of politically exploiting his position against President Trump. As a result of the censure motion, Schiff will now be referred to the Committee of Ethics for an investigation into his conduct.
Watch:
In the US Congress, censure represents a formal expression of disapproval directed towards a representative. While it is a less severe measure than expulsion, it nonetheless serves as a notable public reprimand for the member’s behavior.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a harsh critic of Schiff’s actions, will now get to publicly reprimand Schiff in front of Congress.
