On Monday, an election analyst on CNN said that despite facing four criminal indictments, President Trump is in a nearly tied position with Joe Biden.
Referencing recent polls where Biden’s largest lead is merely three points, the analyst noted that there is currently “no clear leader.” He highlighted that all outcomes fell within the polls’ margin of error. In addition, other recent polls have indicated that President Trump holds a seven-point advantage over Biden, a lead that goes beyond the margins of error for both polls.
“This is significantly closer than where we were four years ago. So this idea that Donald Trump can’t win the general election, I want you to lose that idea. This race is very, very close, and Donald Trump is polling better, right now, than basically any point during the entire 2020 election,” the analyst said.

Joe Biden’s approval has significantly waned among crucial demographics, such as black Americans and independent voters. Both of these groups now show lower satisfaction and share similar opinions that the nation is on the wrong track.
Of course, President Trump will need to navigate a lengthy Republican primary season before potentially facing Joe Biden in another debate. However, this challenge seems quite manageable for Trump, as he maintains a significant lead of almost 50 percent over his GOP competitors in most polls. His substantial advantage is evident as he has opted out of participating in Wednesday’s debate on Fox News, choosing instead to sit down for an interview with Tucker Carlson.
