Sign on Martha’s Vineyard that reads: We stand with IMMIGRANTS

Breaking Digest reported earlier that the exclusive elite liberal enclave of Martha’s Vineyard deported the 50 immigrants that DeSantis flew there yesterday.

Now this: The governor of Massachusetts, Charlie Baker, has called in the national guard to assist with the “humanitarian crisis” on Martha’s Vineyard that was set off by the arrival of just 50 immigrants.

Three buses rolled up to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Edgartown, Friday morning, to take the migrants from the island to Joint Base Cape Cod on the mainland.

125 national guard members will be deployed to join the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, the Massachusetts State Police, Dukes County and Barnstable County, as well as state, local and federal elected officials in relief effort already underway by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), according to a statement released by the office of Governor Charlie Baker.

From the statement:

BARNSTABLE — Today, the Baker-Polito Administration announced new shelter and humanitarian supports at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) for the approximately 50 migrants who arrived in Martha’s Vineyard this week. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is coordinating efforts among state and local officials to ensure access to food, shelter and essential services for these men, women and children. Governor Charlie Baker also plans to activate up to 125 members of the Massachusetts National Guard as part of this relief effort.

“We are grateful to the providers, volunteers and local officials that stepped up on Martha’s Vineyard over the past few days to provide immediate services to these individuals,” said Governor Charlie Baker. “Our Administration has been working across state government to develop a plan to ensure these individuals will have access to the services they need going forward, and Joint Base Cape Cod is well equipped to serve these needs.”

The racist liberal elites on Martha’s Vineyard do not want them there.

Yesterday, the coordinator of the homeless shelter on Martha’s Vineyard, Lisa Belcastro, had a meltdown over the arrival of the immigrants, saying that the shelter does not have the services or the housing to care for them.

This is their reaction to just 50 immigrants being there, while Texas gets roughly 5,500 per DAY.
