On Saturday, the Republican-led Texas House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton.
The vote tally: 121 ayes – 23 nays – 2 “present not voting.”
Per Texas law, Paxton is suspended from office pending the outcome of the trial in the state’s senate.
On Thursday, a Texas House investigative committee — RINOs — voted to recommend impeaching Ken Paxton after an investigation into his alleged “corruption.”
“It is a sad day for Texas as we witness the corrupt political establishment unite in this illegitimate attempt to overthrow the will of the people and disenfranchise the voters of our state,” Paxton said in a statement Thursday. “The RINOs in the Texas Legislature are now on the same side as Joe Biden.”
The 20 articles include “bribery, unfitness for office and abuse of public trust” – according to the Associated Press.

Watch the clown who led the effort to impeach AG Ken Paxton, drunk and slurring on the Texas House floor:
AP reported:
Texas’ GOP-led House of Representatives impeached state Attorney General Ken Paxton on Saturday on articles including bribery and abuse of public trust, a sudden, historic rebuke of a fellow Republican who rose to be a star of the conservative legal movement despite years of scandal and alleged crimes.
The vote triggers Paxton’s immediate suspension from office pending the outcome of a trial in the state Senate and empowers Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to appoint someone else as Texas’ top lawyer in the interim.
Ken Paxton released a statement:
I am beyond grateful to have the support of millions of Texans who recognize that what we just witnessed is illegal, unethical, and profoundly unjust. I look forward to a quick resolution in the Texas Senate, where I have full confidence the process will be fair and just.
