Kijuan Wilson, 18, was arrested for aggravated rape, aggravated robbery, and aggravated kidnapping in connection with the aggravated robbery and sexual assault of a man at a washroom at Rose Park on 1000 Edgehill Avenue on the night of October 30. Juvenile Court has jurisdiction over the case because Wilson was under the age of 18.

On October 19 of last year, the victim, a 25-year-old man, said he was followed into a public restroom by a man wearing a white sweatshirt. According to the victim, the perpetrator brandished a firearm, ordered him to empty his pockets, and then engaged in sexual activity with him.

Last year, Wilson was identified as a suspect in this case, but Sex Crimes detectives lacked sufficient proof to make an arrest.

Wilson was taken into custody in January 2023 by investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit on unrelated allegations of auto theft, juvenile delinquency, and eluding police.

Then we were able to get his DNA. Wilson’s DNA matched what was found on the rape victim’s belongings in the lab in October. This week, Wilson was issued an arrest warrant by the Juvenile Court.

Wilson, who had been out on bond since his January arrest, was found in a car on Tuesday night by investigators from the Violent Crimes Section. He was tracked down to his home on Brickdale Lane and arrested there. In December of 2021, a Glock semi-automatic pistol was reported stolen from under his car’s seat on Westfield Drive. There were 32 bullets in the gun’s extended magazine.
