The news media was told that Joe Biden would address the deadly shooting in Nashville that killed seven, but instead, he joked about ice cream and creeped on kids the “good-looking kids” in the audience.
Monday, a 28-year-old former transgender student, Audrey Hale, opened fire at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, killing 3 nine-year-old students and 3 teachers. Naturally, people would expect the “President” to address the incident at the top of the WH event, but he appeared lost and talked about ice cream instead.
Biden opened the event with, “My name is Joe Biden. I’m Dr. Jill Biden’s husband. And I eat Jeni’s ice cream—chocolate chip. I came down because I heard there was chocolate chip ice cream. By the way, I have a whole refrigerator full upstairs! You think I’m kidding? I’m not!”
It took him a while but eventually, he did get around to politicizing the tragedy by calling for a ban on “assault weapons”, which don’t actually exist.
Joe Biden is a disaster and an embarrassment.
FOX News hosts Sandra Smith and John Roberts seemed genuinely shocked and appalled.
Sky News Australia host, Rita Panahi, noticed this monumental failure.
“He did eventually address the issue, but really, surely he would know the gravity of the situation and jokes about ice cream and good-looking kids in the audience…He needs the autocue, he needs the cards, he needs so much direction.”
