As Breaking Digest previously reported, three adults and three children are confirmed dead following a school shooting Monday morning at The Covenant School, a private Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee.
FOX News was reporting the tragic incident when they cut to Joe Biden because they were told he would be addressing the school shooting off the top, but instead he joked about ice cream and creeped on children that were in attendance.
Most would expect him to exploit the incident for political purposes by calling for a ban on “assault weapons” (which don’t exist). Of course, he did eventually get to the exploitation and politicization of the shooting.
Biden opened the event with, “My name is Joe Biden. I’m Dr. Jill Biden’s husband. And I eat Jeni’s ice cream—chocolate chip. I came down because I heard there was chocolate chip ice cream. By the way, I have a whole refrigerator full upstairs! You think I’m kidding? I’m not!”
FOX News hosts Sandra Smith and John Roberts seemed genuinely shocked and appalled.
“John, we’ll jump back in here… considering the moment… um… the school shooting that just happened left three children dead… uh, three adults dead… shooter’s dead and we were told he would be addressing this off the top”, Sandra can be heard saying.
John agreed, “Yeah, it’s rather surprising, I thought that a somber President Biden would have come to the podium here and addressed the school shooting.”

Biden was quickly roasted on Twitter for his light-hearted opening to the event in the wake of the tragic event took place just hours earlier.
One commentator with the name ALX tweeted, “In the wake of a school shooting, Joe Biden says he came down to speak because he heard there was ice cream and gets distracted by ‘good looking kids’ in the audience.”
Trending Politics’ Collin Rugg wrote, “Fox News cuts to Joe Biden expecting him to speak on the Nashville shooting, instead finds him ranting about eating Jeni’s chocolate chip ice cream.”
PragerU’s C.J. Pearson tweeted, “3 children and 3 adults are dead in Nashville today following a school shooting. But what does Joe Biden want to talk about? Ice Cream.”
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, tweeted, “The White House is now a nursing home.”
