During the second day of the Essence Festival, a singer named Jill Scott, who was invited to perform America’s national anthem, made changes to the lyrics in order to trash the nation. This decision sparked anger and backlash from many across the country.
According to a report by Fox News, the Essence Festival, which focused on addressing alleged “systemic racism” in America, endorsed Scott’s performance and stated, “Everyone please rise for the only National Anthem we will be recognizing from this day forward. Jill Scott, we thank you!”
Scott deliberately altered the lyrics of the “Star-Spangled Banner,” in order to deliver a shameful race-baiting rant against America, which angered Americans.
Although her singing was dreadful, the entire crowd at the event cheered on Scott as she performed.

As Fox News pointed out, Jill Scott has been vocal about her hatred for America. In a conversation with leftist writer Jemele Hill, Scott mentioned that she contemplated leaving America due to concerns about the “racial climate” and a desire for a better education system.
There are some things you don’t have to deal with in other countries. We’re looking at Holland… The education is dope, the healthcare is dope. There’s very few confines on your personality.
If you want to go get some a** or buy some a** ain’t nobody tripping on you. I like the idea of people being able to be free as long as you’re not harming anybody.
Scott’s disgusting performance understandably angered Americans.
