Russia Accuses United States of Orchestrating Assassination Attempt on Putin

Russian news reported that Ukraine ordered a precision drone strike on the Russian Capitol building early Wednesday morning, in an attempt to assassinate President Vladimir Putin.

But now, Russian leaders are accusing the United States of orchestrating the assassination attempt on the Russian President.

According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Russia claimed that the U.S. was the mastermind behind the attack, while Ukraine was merely executing Washington’s plans.

“Attempts to disown this, both in Kyiv and in Washington, are, of course, absolutely ridiculous. We know very well that decisions about such actions, about such terrorist attacks, are made not in Kyiv but in Washington,” said Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He said the United States was “undoubtedly” behind the incident and added – again without stating evidence – that Washington often selected both the targets for Ukraine to attack, and the means to attack them.

“This is also often dictated from across the ocean … In Washington they must clearly understand that we know this,” Peskov said.

Of course, the White House quickly dismissed the accusation, calling it a “ludicrous claim,” but we know what this administration states is always the polar opposite of the truth.

“I can assure you that there was no involvement by the United States. Whatever it was, it didn’t involve us,” National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said.

The incident involved “two unmanned aerial vehicles” that were brought down “without causing any casualties or damage” at the Kremlin, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov’s office.

Putin was not at the Kremlin at the time, according to Peskov.

Mykhailo Podolyak, Office of the President of Ukraine adviser, dismissed the drone attack as a false flag aimed at justifying retaliation.

“Russia is clearly preparing a large-scale terrorist attack. That’s why it first detains a large allegedly subversive group in Crimea. And then it demonstrates ‘drones over the Kremlin,'” Podolyak wrote on social media.

Unfortunately, Ukraine isn’t any more credible than the Biden regime, so we’ll just have to see how this plays out.

The false flag theory really doesn’t make sense. Since this conflict began, Russia has not needed justification to ramp up its aggression toward Ukraine or even to assassinate Zelenskyy. Why would Russia feel justification is needed now?

Regardless of who is to blame for the assassination attempt, this is a clear escalation of the proxy war in Ukraine, as Russia seems prepared to retaliate against Ukraine and its main backer, the United States.

Jack Posobiec issued an urgent warning to the American people in the wake of the drone strike: “Call the people you love; tell them you love them. Hug your family, hug your kids… I know I’m gonna hug mine tonight.”
