In what is becoming all too common, another illegal alien has been charged with killing an American citizen.

Elvis Jamir Cruz-Ferrera, 18, from Honduras, faces involuntary manslaughter charges for the February car crash that killed 19-year-old Virginia college student Lauryn Ni’Kole Leonard.

Leonard was killed on impact, while Cruz-Ferrera survived the crash with minor injuries.

Cruz-Ferrera was reportedly driving at 85 mph in a 60 mph zone.

According to ICE, Cruz-Ferrera first entered the U.S. at age 11, crossing the border into McAllen, Texas, as an unaccompanied minor. After being detained in an ICE facility, he was eventually released and has lived in the United States illegally ever since.

In 2018, Cruz-Ferrera missed his scheduled court hearing, and a judge ordered his removal. Despite numerous run-ins with the law, his deportation has never been carried out.
