The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) has released bodycam footage of the mass shooting at Old National Bank on East Main Street Monday morning.
As Breaking Digest reported, five people were killed after 23-year-old Connor Sturgeon, a former employee at the bank, entered the bank.
Nine more were injured, including Officer Nickolas Wilt, who was shot in the head. He remains in critical condition, fighting for his life.
Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel of the Louisville Metro Police Department stated that Sturgeon was bank employee who had specifically targeted certain individuals using an AR-15-style rifle.
The rifle was purchased legally. by Sturgeon, one week prior to the shooting.
Sturgeon livestreamed the attack on Instagram.
The body camera footage of the incident was released to the public on Tuesday.

LMPD released two videos.
Officer Nickolas Wilt and Officer Cory Galloway were the first to arrive on scene.
The first video is Officer Wilt’s bodycam which shows both officers arriving at the bank in a police vehicle.
Sturgeon immediately fires on them when they step out, forcing the officers to retreat.
Officer Galloway is then seen grabbing his police rifle from the trunk and confirming shots had been fired.
As Sturgeon fired at them, while hidden behind a mirrored exterior, Officer Galloway is seen falling and then running down the steps leading up to the bank entrance, where he takes cover behind a large planter box.
Officer Galloway received a minor gunshot wound but he was still able to assess the situation as he tried to get a good view of the shooter.
Officer Wilt was shot in the head.
The second video is Officer Galloway’s bodycam from the bottom of the steps leading up to the bank entrance.
When other officers attempted to rescue Officer Wilt, Sturgeon shot at them, breaking the glass window in the process, which allowed Officer Galloway to see Sturgeon and swiftly take him down.
These two brave officers fearlessly ran towards gunfire in order to save lives.
Countless lives were saved as a result of the officers’ heroic actions.
It was revealed through Sturgeon’s social media posts that he was a woke leftist who hated President Trump. He listed his preferred pronouns in his LinkedIn bio.
Not surprisingly, it was known that Sturgeon was mentally ill.
