There are already a lot of questions over the assassination attempt on President Trump at his rally in Butler, PA on Saturday. Like how did a shooter manage to get on a roof within range of the president when all rooftops should have been checked and secured?
Why didn’t the counter sniper team take out the shooter immediately when they spotted him on the rooftop, instead of waiting until AFTER he opened fire on Trump and rally goers?
Now we have a report indicating that after Trump supporters warned police about a man with a rifle suspiciously crawling on the roof outside the rally venue, a police officer climbed a ladder to confront the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Crooks then pointed his rifle at the officer, who, instead of calling for backup or attempting to neutralize the threat, went back down the ladder.
This is completely unacceptable!
Why didn’t the officer radio for backup to warn the Secret Service?
Police officers take an oath to PROTECT AND SERVE, not run and hide.
AP News reported:
Not long before shots rang out, rallygoers noticed a man climbing to the roof of a nearby building and warned local police, according to two law enforcement officials.
One local police officer climbed to the roof and encountered Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer. The officer retreated down the ladder, and Crooks quickly took a shot toward Trump, and that’s when Secret Service snipers shot him, said the officials, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.
Trump was shot in the ear, rally attendee Corey Comperatore was killed while bravely shielding his wife and daughter from the bullets, and two others were critically injured.
Breaking Digest previously reported that people alerted Secret Service agents and local law enforcement about the “guy crawling on the roof” before he fired any shots. An eyewitness, one of those trying to alert the police, said he spent several minutes attempting to get their attention.

He was ignored. pic.twitter.com/Cvfb7znZtZ
There are also videos circulating that show people yelling that the man had a gun, seconds before the shots rang out.
All of this was apparently ignored.
