The White House confirmed on Monday evening that Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 during her vacation this weekend in Delaware. She is reportedly experiencing only mild symptoms. Notably, Jill Biden is double vaccinated and double boosted. Jill previously tested positive in August 2022, followed by a rebound case later that same month after receiving Paxlovid treatment. Her diagnosis comes after renewed hysteria over COVID amid the emergence of a new variant… just in time for election season.

Over the weekend, the Bidens were on vacation in Rehoboth, Delaware. Joe Biden returned to the White House on Monday after delivering a Labor Day speech in Philadelphia, while Jill Biden remained in Rehoboth Beach.

Jill Biden’s Communications Director Elizabeth Alexander released a statement.

This evening, the First Lady tested positive for COVID-19. She is currently experiencing only mild symptoms. She will remain at their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Follow-up statement from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
