Heroic Father Fights Off Would-Be Kidnapper Who Tries to Snatch His Child in Miami CVS [Video]

In a shocking incident captured on surveillance footage, a would-be kidnapper brazenly attempted to snatch a four-year-old boy before the child’s father intervened and fought him off.

The incident took place at CVS Pharmacy on the corner of Collins Avenue and 74 Street in Miami Beach, as reported by WPLG.

At approximately 11:55 A.M., a mother entered the store with her son and husband following closely behind. A young man, later identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Sternaman, then entered and violently grabbed the child by the neck from behind.

Sternaman proceeded to lift the boy off the ground and was preparing to leave the premises when the child’s father intervened. The father grabbed Sternaman, tore off his jacket, and delivered a punch during the altercation.

The boy falls to the ground, but the mom quickly picks him up and carries him safely away.

As the father prepares to slug Sternaman once more, the would-be abductor let’s go of the child and takes off out of the CVS without his jacket. Police reveal that Sternaman later discarded his sweater as the father and another witness trailed him out of the store.

Sternaman was arrested along Harding Avenue near 71st Street. According to WPLG, Sternaman was charged with kidnapping a child under 13, aggravated assault, and battery, according to jail records.
