It’s beginning to feel a lot like election season.

Covid mask mandates and lockdowns are gradually returning.

An entire school district located in South Texas, just on the outskirts of San Antonio, has made the decision to temporarily shut down classes due to an alleged “uptick” in Covid cases.

Runge ISD has shut down operations this week and is expected to resume on Tuesday, August 29, in response to 10 Covid cases among teachers and staff members.

Extracurricular activities have also been paused.

“The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community is a top priority,” Superintendent Hector Dominguez Jr. said in a statement, according to a report from KSAT.

Mask mandates, contact tracing, and social distancing rules are also gradually making a comeback.

Morris Brown College, a private institution located in Atlanta, has announced its decision to reinstate the mask mandates for students and staff while on campus. The restrictions will be in effect for two weeks, despite there being no reported Covid cases on campus.

Breaking Digest previously reported that Lionsgate Studios Headquarters in Santa Monica, California has reinstated a mandate requiring masks for approximately half of its workforce.
