Republican strategist John Thomas, who founded the DeSantis Super PAC, made a major announcement during his appearance on News Nation. Thomas said DeSantis lacks the qualities for a strong candidate, such as charm, charisma, discipline, and likability. As a result, he has shifted his support to Trump.
Thomas, founder of “Ron to the Rescue,” which has reportedly raised $50 million from affluent donors to support the governor, has declared the Ron DeSantis campaign is dead.
He didn’t hold back in his scathing assessment of Ron DeSantis and his campaign’s “failure to launch.”
John Thomas:
I, along with a lot of grassroots supporters and major donors, said, okay, let’s draft DeSantis, encourage him to run for president, because we think he’s got the stuff.
Except there was one problem, Adrian. It’s that when Governor DeSantis did end up launching, he had a failure to launch, and he’s never recovered. And while he may be a great governor, he’s not ready for the national stage, and we don’t think that he’s ready to beat Joe Biden.
And on the flip side, Adrian, we think that Donald Trump, in spite of all of his legal challenges, has honestly run nearly a flawless effort with strategic ad spends against his opponent, DeSantis, good messaging choices that really I hadn’t seen in 2016 or 2020. So for all of those reasons, we all reversed course to get behind Donald Trump, not just because we think he’s going to be the nominee, but honestly, we think he’s the best person to beat Joe Biden in the general.
…
I haven’t seen really an articulated message of why DeSantis is different than Trump… I really haven’t seen that. So, the question is: if you really like Donald Trump, now, I think Donald Trump is running a good campaign, why would you go for the cheap knock off, when you can have the OG version, right?
Brutal.

Ron DeSantis’ campaign is finished. Perhaps he could consider a comeback in 2028, but it would undoubtedly be tough. He should have waited and thrown all of his support behind President Trump.
Tucker Carlson recently said that Trump’s emergence is the “most significant thing” in U.S. politics in 100 years.
Democrat strategist, Donna Brazile, said she’s never seen anything like Trump’s popularity, saying, “It’s a movement.”
This is great news for the America as it’s important to keep funding from Anti-Trump efforts.
