Community Mourns Galway Firefighter Who Died Suddenly

Louth Fire Brigade Station officer and dad-of-two, Shane McBride, died suddenly on September 26.

No cause of death has been given.

McBride has been described as one of the most knowledgeable station officers in the country, and a great character

Tributes have poured in on social media for McBride, who served in the Galway Fire Service for several years as well as others across Ireland.

Fire stations in the west and beyond have been left devastated by the news as they mourn the loss of Shane across the country.
