According to Breitbart, Representative James Comer (R-KY), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, announced on Fox News that he has formally requested a briefing from the Secret Service. This development comes after the news of cocaine being discovered at the White House. Chairman Comer, speaking alongside former Oversight Chair Jason Chaffetz on Fox News, highlighted that the House Oversight Committee holds jurisdiction over the Secret Service and emphasized the significance of this matter in terms of “national security risks.”

When questioned about the cocaine incident, Comer indicated that his committee could potentially investigate the origins and ownership of the substance.

Comer shifted the focus to Hunter Biden, expressing concerns about the potential national security risks posed by Joe Biden’s son. He emphasized that the committee has received reports suggesting that Hunter Biden spends more time at the White House than Joe Biden himself, as Hunter’s residential whereabouts remain uncertain.

Comer stated, “[W]e are concerned about the fact that the president’s son, as we have been saying for the past seven months, poses a risk to our national security.” He further highlighted the committee’s interest in investigating Hunter Biden’s activities within the White House, considering the potential implications involved.

Comer expressed concern over Hunter Biden’s associations and behavior, pointing to the contents of the laptop from Hell. Comer highlighted that individuals Hunter associated with over a four-year period are questionable characters, with many facing incarceration or being involved in court cases.

Furthermore, Comer brought attention to Hunter Biden’s well-documented drug use problem, citing the pictures that recently emerged, showing him smoking crack while driving. He asserted that it would be challenging to deny the authenticity of such evidence.

In response, the Republican lawmaker expressed his broader concerns regarding the Secret Service, extending beyond the cocaine incident. Comer pointed out that one of the issues related to Hunter Biden was his illegal possession of a firearm, which led to reports indicating that the Secret Service had approached the firearms dealer to investigate who Hunter notified and his conduct. Comer found this concerning, particularly because Joe Biden did not have Secret Service protection during that time.

According to an unnamed law enforcement official, the investigation into the source of the cocaine bag is considered “unlikely” to ascertain the individual responsible for placing it there. In response to queries about potential drug tests for White House staff, Karine Jean-Pierre has declined to provide an answer.

The investigation has faced allegations of potentially serving as a cover-up operation. A former chief of the Customs and Border Protection Agency claimed that solving this mystery should take approximately 30 minutes, emphasizing the surveillance measures employed at the White House. He pointed out that cell phones are typically checked and accounted for, manifests are maintained, and cameras are in place, among other security measures.
