On Tuesday, the GOP House Oversight Committee released yet another WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden.
Dated August 3, 2017, the WhatsApp exchange reveals that Hunter Biden conveyed to CEFC associate Gongwen Dong, “The Biden’s are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this [partnership].”
In this context, the reference to the “Chairman” pertains to Ye Jianming, a Chinese billionaire associated with a CCP-intelligence gathering agency.
Ye Jianming reportedly vanished in 2018 and is now presumed dead.
“The Biden’s are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this [partnership].”

Another email — sent by Biden as part of an Aug. 2, 2017, chain — involved a deal he struck with the since-vanished chairman of CEFC, Ye Jianming, for half-ownership of a holding company that was expected to provide Biden with more than $10 million a year.
Ye, who had ties to the Chinese military and intelligence service, hasn’t been seen since being taken into custody by Chinese authorities in early 2018, and CEFC went bankrupt earlier this year, according to reports.
Biden wrote that Ye had sweetened the terms of an earlier, three-year consulting contract with CEFC that was to pay him $10 million annually “for introductions alone.”
“The chairman changed that deal after we me[t] in MIAMI TO A MUCH MORE LASTING AND LUCRATIVE ARRANGEMENT to create a holding company 50% percent [sic] owned by ME and 50% owned by him,” Biden wrote.
“Consulting fees is one piece of our income stream but the reason this proposal by the chairman was so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would also be partners inn [sic] the equity and profits of the JV’s [joint venture’s] investments.”
A photo dated Aug. 1, 2017, shows a handwritten flowchart of the ownership of “Hudson West” split 50/50 between two entities ultimately controlled by Hunter Biden and someone identified as “Chairman.”
The following day, one of Hunter Biden’s shell companies, OWASCO PC, received a payment of $100,000 from CEFC, an energy company affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
This latest Hunter Biden WhatsApp message surfaced merely a week after an IRS whistleblower, Gary Shapely, disclosed that Hunter had been issuing threats to a Chinese business associate, urging them to make payment promptly.
In the previous message, Hunter Biden makes an explicit threat, stating that Joe Biden, who was purportedly present in the vicinity, would “destroy” Henry Zhao unless prompt payments to the Bidens were arranged.
According to the IRS whistleblower, the WhatsApp message sent by Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao in July 2017 reads as follows:
I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.
A few weeks later, Hunter Biden received a wire transfer of $5 million from a Chinese company.
On Monday, Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) disclosed that Congress has evidence Joe Biden was present in the room with Hunter when he sent the threatening WhatsApp message on July 30, 2017. The message was reportedly transmitted from the Biden family residence in Wilmington, Delaware.
“All we need to prove is that Joe Biden was in the room and he’s part of this. And we have other evidence showing that Joe Biden was in the room from various witnesses who were involved in the Biden scheme. Joe was there to show Hunter had the connections,” she said.
“So that WhatsApp message, we found evidence showing that Joe Biden and the whole family were all in Wilmington on the night of the phone call, that WhatsApp message, when it happened. That was July 30, 2017 and, yes, Joe Biden was a private citizen, but this is a continuation of the tax evasion, money laundering and what was going on to get that money through Hunter to Joe Biden and his family,” she continued.
