Catherine Engelbrecht and True the Vote scored a major victory in their Georgia lawsuit against Stacy Abrams, Marc Elias, and far-left Fair Fight organization in a significant election-related case.
Stacy Abrams, still reeling from her failed gubernatorial bid in 2018, was dealt a devastating blow on Tuesday when her attempt to sue a conservative group for alleged voter intimidation backfired.
Fair Fight, the voter registration group founded by Abrams, contested True the Vote’s actions in Georgia. They argued that the conservative organization, headquartered in Texas, was illegally seeking to suppress votes during the elections for U.S. Senators Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Jon Ossoff (D-GA).
Per the Atlanta Constitution-Journal, U.S. District Judge Steve Jones delivered a 145-page ruling siding with True the Vote. The organization had challenged the eligibility of over 250,000 Georgians registered by Abrams’ group before the state’s 2021 U.S. Senate elections. Judge Jones determined that the challenge by True the Vote did not constitute the civil rights violations that Abrams claimed.
Catherine Engelbrecht, the founder of True the Vote, hailed the ruling as a “resounding vindication.”
“Today’s ruling sends a clear message to those who would attempt to control the course of our nation through lawfare and intimidation. American citizens will not be silenced,” Engelbrecht said.

True the Vote (TTV) declares a decisive triumph in their legal battle against Stacy Abrams’ Fair Fight, legal teams led by Marc Elias, and the Biden Department of Justice. A federal court in the Northern District of Georgia today affirmed that citizens have the right to lawfully petition their government in support of election integrity without fear of persecution or prosecution.
In a resounding vindication, TTV successfully defended its actions of December 2020, aiding Georgia citizens in filing elector challenges based on data showing over 364,000 voters appeared to be ineligible to vote due to change in residency.
This victory is a testament to every American’s constitutional right to free speech and the importance of actively participating in the electoral process.

Jake Evans, who represents True the Vote, emphasized that the ruling sets a precedent regarding the protected engagement of partisan groups in overseeing voter registration drives.
“This decision is monumental as it vindicates the defendants in totality and establishes that eligibility challenges … are a proper method to ensure voter rolls are accurate,” Evans stated.
Several of Fair Fight’s outrageous claims were dismissed, including claims of conservatives offering money to voters and using intimidation tactics such as deploying Navy SEALs at polling sites. This defeat adds to a prior ruling by Judge Jones, who had rejected Fair Fight’s challenge to the state’s voting laws in 2018.
