Thomas Matthew Crooks, President Trump’s would-be assassin, had two cell phones and used three encrypted accounts overseas for communication.

The FBI discovered Crooks’ second cell phone at his home, which contained only 27 contacts, the Daily Mail reported.

Congressman Mike Waltz told Fox News host Jesse Watters that, according to an FBI briefing, Crooks had multiple encrypted accounts, with more details expected to emerge on Monday.

Rep. Waltz noted that Crooks had the overseas accounts during the same period that an Iranian assassination plot against Trump was reported.

Jesse Watters asked if there was a connection between the two incidents.

Intelligence agencies leaked the Iranian assassination plot story to CNN, presumably in order to create chaos and distract the American public from the Secret Service failures on Saturday.

Crooks did not act alone.
