Watch the Baltimore police announce Billingsley’s arrest from WBAL-TV 11:
According to the New York Post, Billingsley was still on parole at the time of his arrest for the violent rape and assault of a 25-year-old woman in 2013. Additionally, he is a suspect in a disturbing attack on a man and woman that occurred the week before LaPere’s murder.
According to the Baltimore Police, Billingsley attacked a couple, raped the woman and slit her throat. He then doused them both in a flammable liquid and set them on fire while a child was present in the residence.
Billingsley had been released back into the community after serving only 14 years of a 30-year sentence and was granted parole in October 2022.
During a press conference, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott expressed his frustration with Billingsley’s release, emphasizing that he should not have been back on the streets in the first place.
Jason Billingsley is really dangerous.
