The Satanic Temple has been approved to hold an event at a Pennsylvania high school — and taxpayers will fund it.
Directors of the Northern York school district in Pennsylvania announced that an application was approved for “the Satanic Temple to use our facility as we were required to do so by board policy, No. 707.”
The statement reads:
“As a public school district, the use of our school facilities must be permitted without discrimination. We cannot and do not arbitrarily pick and choose which organization may or may not use our facilities. If we allow one organization, we must allow all organizations, provided they satisfy the conditions and application requirements as set forth in Policy 707,”
The policy also requires that the school pay for rental, custodial, security and auditorium tech fees, in other words, the event will be taxpayer funded.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of the Satanic Temple being involved in school events/programs. In April 2022, the Insider reported that there was an attempt, by a parent, to set up Satan Club after school program at an elementary school in Pennsylvania. Other parents were opposed and voted it down 8-1.
In fact, “After School Satan” after school clubs are becoming increasingly popular in various states in the united states, popping up at schools in various states including Ohio, North Carolina, Illinois, Pennsylvania
