Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday that Ukraine will submit an “accelerated” application to join NATO.
Zelensky added that Kyiv will hold no negotiations with Russia while Putin is President.
The announcement comes on the same day Russia annexed four Ukrainian territories after a series of referendums that most in the international community have labeled a “sham.”
NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, is expected to brief the press later today.
