The details of the incident at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, are still developing, and many facts remain unclear.
In video footage of the event, shots can be heard just before President Trump grabbed his ear and dropped behind the podium. The Secret Service then quickly surrounded him, providing cover, and rushed him off stage.
McCormick mentioned he thought another person had been injured. He noted that police quickly arrived and removed that individual. There is a video circulating showing the purportedly injured person:

The Butler County District Attorney and the Associated Press have confirmed that one attendee at the rally was killed.
