Earlier today, Special Counsel Robert Hur testified before the House Judiciary Committee.
Hur was subpoenaed in February to provide testimony regarding his discoveries related to Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents.
Last month, Special Counsel Robert Hur published a comprehensive 345-page report detailing his investigation into the stolen classified documents.
During his testimony, Hur bluntly stated that his investigation “did not exonerate” Joe Biden of any wrongdoing.
Hur’s statement came during questioning by Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington.
Initially, Rep. Jayapal attempted to argue that Hur’s investigation did, indeed, exonerate Joe Biden of any wrongdoing regarding the stolen classified documents discussed in the report.
She claimed there was insufficient evidence to prove Biden violated any laws concerning the possession or retention of classified materials.
Hur promptly corrected Rep. Jayapal, highlighting that the term “exoneration” was not used in his report and was not within his responsibilities as a prosecutor.
A visibly angry Rep. Jayapal began talking over Hur as he tried to explain, and snapped back, “You exonerated him.”
This prompted Hur to reiterate, “I did not exonerate him. That word does not appear in the report,” before Rep. Jayapal cut him off, saying, “It’s my time.”
