The Democrats continue to repeat the blatant lie that “five police officers” were killed by Trump supporters on January 6.
Joe Biden has made the false claim several times.
The opposite of what they say, more often than not, is the truth. And in this case, the truth is that zero police officers died at the Capitol that day. Only one officer died of natural causes the following day. He was not the victim of bludgeoning.
Four other officers died by suicide… long after the protest on Jan 6.
At least one Trump supporter was killed by police that day. Ashli Babbitt, a 36-year-old U.S. Air Force veteran was gunned down by Capitol Police officer, Lt. Michael Byrd. Ashli was unarmed. Although officer Byrd claims that he “saved lives” that day, the truth is there is no evidence that any of the Trump supporters attacked anyone during the Capitol protests.
Rosanne Boyland was also beaten to death by Capitol police that day, according to Philip Anderson, who claims he was on the ground beside her when she was killed.
Even left-wing Politifact admits that it’s not true. The New York Times, who first published the lie, retracted the story because it’s not true.
On Thursday, Rep. Mondaire Jones said during a committee hearing that officer Sicknick was bludgeoned to death by the crown at the Capitol on Jan 6.
He got called out by Rep. Dan Bishop for repeating the lie and made him look like a fool.
“Rep. Bishop: “Did you say a police officer was bludgeoned to death by the crown at the Jan 6 riots?”
Rep. Jones: “I said a police officer was bludgeoned to death. I did not say at the hands of whom…”
