President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador of Mexico has threatened to take legal action against the State of Texas following Governor Greg Abbott’s signing of SB 4 into law. This law criminalizes illegal immigration at the state level, a move prompted by Biden’s refusal to enforce federal statutes. Lopez Obrador condemned the law as “inhumane.”
At a press conference in Brownsville on Monday, Abbott remarked, “Four years ago, the United States had the fewest illegal border crossings in decades. It was because of four policies put in place by the Trump Administration that led to such a low number of illegal crossings. President Biden has eliminated all of those policies and done nothing to halt illegal immigration.”

According to Reuters, Lopez Obrador announced that his administration was gearing up to challenge the new law in the U.S. Courts.
The Mexican president, recognized as a radical leftist, told reporters, “The foreign ministry is already working on the process to challenge this law,” claiming that Abbott, “wants to win popularity with these measures, but he’s not going to win anything, but he’ll lose favor, because in Texas there are so many Mexicans and migrants.”
The Dallas Observer reported Abbott’s contrasting perspective, attributing a significant portion of the responsibility for the illegal immigration crisis to Lopez Obrador, citing him as a “large reason” behind it.
Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Union, commended Governor Abbott’s decision during the signing, per the Governor’s office. Judd stated, “Border Patrol agents nationwide, not just in Texas, are grateful for Governor Abbott’s leadership and willingness to recognize that it is the rule of law that keeps all Americans safe. His actions have already saved lives, and his continued actions will undoubtedly save thousands more. As the flagrant disregard of our laws too often is the norm throughout our country, Texans can be proud that their governor will not back down to pervasive and radical woke ideology. Instead, he will continue to look out for the best interests of his great state.”
Meanwhile, as Breaking Digest previously reported, Governor Abbott has begun flying illegals to sanctuary cities, with the first flight to Chicago.
According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, the first flight, departing from El Paso on Tuesday afternoon, carried 120 illegal aliens to Chicago’s O’Hare airport.
Melugin reported that the illegals signed voluntary waivers before leaving Texas.
The Governor’s office is planning additional flights to various sanctuary cities, considering them to be “fair game.”
