The following information has been issued by the Police Department of the City of Newton (Illinois):
On the 10th of February, 2023, a member of the Lutz family informed the authorities that Stephen Lutz (age 44), Monica Lutz (age 34), Nicholas Lutz (age 9), and Aiden Lutz (year 11) were missing. We launched an inquiry, and the information we gathered led us to assume that they had departed the state. We have received a report of missing individuals, and the information has been sent along to appropriate organizations so that they can provide aid. In addition to this, on February 14, 2023, we made an attempt to locate the people involved by publishing an Effort to Locate notice.
Notwithstanding the fact that we did not have any evidence at the time to suggest that any of the parties were in immediate danger, we have decided to take the appropriate safeguards because of the length of time that the parties have been absent.
On the 19th of January, 2023, Stephen made his appearance in court through zoom to face allegations of domestic violence.
He was allowed to go free on bail under the condition that he have no contact with the victim or her family and that he did not enter the residence of the victim or the family home on Fairground Street.
There have been prior allegations of domestic violence in the residence, and the accusations mentioned above are still in the process of being processed. There is now an active warrant out for his arrest. Stephen is presumed innocent until and unless the court finds him guilty in this case, which is still ongoing.
There is now no one living in the house, and none of the members of the family have been spotted for some weeks now. Their mobile phones have been turned off, and there has been no inquiry over the transfer of their children’s academic records because they were educated at home.
The last car that was associated with them was a 2005 Ford F-150 King Ranch – Lariat Package – Blue 4 Door with the Illinois license plate number 3078512B.

Monica N. Lutz (34) I am 5′ 4″ tall, weigh 180 pounds, and have brown eyes and long brown hair.
Nicholas S. Lutz, age 9, is described as having an olive complexion, brown eyes, and brown hair.
Aiden S. Lutz, age 11, is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has brown or red hair and brown eyes.
