The House Judiciary Committee is drafting a resolution slated for next week to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress. Last month, Joe Biden’s son defied a subpoena by not appearing for a deposition regarding his questionable business dealings.
Instead of complying with the subpoena, Hunter held an impromptu press conference outside the U.S. Capitol to whine about “MAGA Republicans.”
“I have been the target of the unrelenting Trump attack machine shouting, ‘Where’s Hunter?’ Well here’s my answer: I am here. I’m ready,’” Hunter said while actively avoiding questions from Congress.
“Let me state as clearly as I can: My father was not financially involved in my business — Not as a practicing lawyer. Not as a board member of Burisma, not in my partnership with a Chinese private businessman, not my investment at all nor abroad, and certainly not as an artist,” Joe Biden’s son continued.
Remember when Hunter Biden said he was “here” to testify.

House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan and House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer were both furious with the stunt and vowed to hold Hunter in Contempt of Congress.
“Hunter Biden’s willful refusal to comply with our subpoenas constitutes contempt of Congress and warrants referral to the appropriate United States Attorney’s Office for prosecution. We will not provide him with special treatment because of his last name,” Rep. Comer and Rep. Jordan said in a joint statement, as reported by The Hill.
Hunter Biden is currently entangled in multiple legal issues, including nine federal charges filed just last month. These recent charges predominantly revolve around tax-related offenses, such as failing to fulfill tax obligations and submitting falsified tax returns.
According to an NBC News report, the indictment asserts that “rather than pay his taxes, the Defendant spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle.”
The indictment specifies that “Between 2016 and October 15, 2020, the Defendant spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.”
Per Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, the contempt charges against Hunter are scheduled for January 10th, coinciding with the impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden’s embattled DHS Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas.
January 10th is going to be a BIG day on two of my committees.
