Video of the tragic car crash that took the life of Laura Lynch, a founding member of the renowned country music group The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), has been made public. Lynch was 65 years old.

The incident occurred near El Paso, Texas, and was captured on camera by an eyewitness who shared it on TikTok with the username @mavmoto182.

The footage depicted a distressing scene showing the wreckage of a burnt and severely damaged Ford F-150, the vehicle Lynch was driving during the collision.

As per the Texas Department of Public Safety, the catastrophic incident unfolded on a Friday afternoon. A westbound truck, attempting to pass two other vehicles, swerved into the eastbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision with Laura Lynch’s truck.

TikTok user Mavmoto, whose family was just two cars behind the accident, recounted the harrowing scene in a video shared online.

He explained that his family was on their way back to their camper in Carlsbad after some last-minute Christmas shopping in El Paso. The road where the tragedy occurred had three lanes — two heading westbound and one eastbound — enclosed by guardrails.

According to MavMoto, the truck involved in the crash recklessly tried to pass two vehicles in the westbound lane, veering into the eastbound lane where it collided head-on with Lynch’s truck. The impact was devastating, and despite bystanders’ attempts, Lynch was found without a pulse as her car quickly became engulfed in flames.

Another driver bravely attempted to rescue the occupants of both vehicles. The truck’s driver was pulled from the fiery wreckage, sustaining burns but reportedly escaping life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, Lynch was declared deceased at the scene.
