On Wednesday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott released a strong statement affirming Texas’ constitutional right to self-defense against the criminal actions of the Biden regime.
This action is a direct response to the US Supreme Court’s ruling, allowing Border Patrol agents to remove razor wire fencing installed along the border by the Texas National Guard.
In Governor Abbott’s statement, he underscored the federal government’s breach of constitutional duties, accusing Joe Biden of both violating immigration laws and neglecting his responsibilities. “President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them, leading to record numbers in illegal immigration,” Abbott stated, citing the over 6 million illegal border crossings in the past three years.

From Governor Abbott’s statement:
“The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now,” reads the statement. “President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.”

In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling allowing the Biden administration to cut or remove razor wire along the southern border, the Texas National Guard took action on Tuesday by installing more razor wire.
Governor Greg Abbott (R) had previously installed approximately 30 miles of razor wire near Eagle Pass on the Texas-Mexico border to counter the influx of illegal aliens allowed in by the Biden regime.
In October, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton took legal action against the Biden regime over their removal of razor wire at the border.
On Monday evening, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton vowed to defy the Supreme Court’s decision regarding razor wire at the southern border.
“The Supreme Court’s temporary order allows Biden to continue his illegal effort to aid the foreign invasion of America. The destruction of Texas’s border barriers will not help enforce the law or keep American citizens safe. This fight is not over, and I look forward to defending our state’s sovereignty.” Ken Paxton posted on X.

Following the Supreme Court’s order to remove the razor wire, the Texas National Guard countered by installing additional razor wire.
