The Democratic National Convention began Monday in Chicago, and Joe Biden was among the speakers scheduled to address the party.
By the time he actually made it to the stage, however, much of the audience had already tuned out. After party leaders forced him out of the 2024 presidential race, and Kamala Harrisstole his delegates, and claimed his donor funds, some Biden loyalists saw the delay of his speech as a final insult.
The crowd chanted, “We Love Joe!” after staging a coup to remove him as the presidential nominee and install Kamala Harris in his place.
The New York Post reported:
Biden mangled his words when discussing the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“The decision overturning Roe v. Wade, that you heard earlier tonight, the United States Supreme Court majority wrote the following: Quote, women are not without electrical, are not, not allowed, are not without electoral or political power,” he said.
Biden was set to speak at 9:50 p.m. local time, but his speaking time was delayed by verbose remarks by his warm-up speakers, including Hillary Clinton and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — who gushed over Biden’s tenure after forcing him to step aside.
The delay meant the president was pushed out of prime time.
Biden ended up speaking at 10:27 p.m. local time — 11:27 p.m. Eastern — limiting the number of live viewers. About half of Americans live in the Eastern time zone.
He wrapped up well after midnight in New York.
A Biden aide told Axios: “This is awful. He literally set up a campaign and handed it over to them — do they have to cut him out of prime time?”
Just before midnight on Monday, Joe Biden finally took the stage at the DNC to give his “final speech”, the failed president offered nothing new. His time at the podium was highly predictable, filled with gaslighting, the usual angry outbursts and the same old debunked hoaxes. If you watched any of his angry State of the Union speeches, you’ve already heard it all.
Expecting an 81-year-old with severe cognitive decline to offer anything new was probably unrealistic.
Joe Biden asked the crowd, “Are you ready to vote for freedom? Are you ready to vote for democracy…?”
This, after locking up their political opponents, filing one baseless lawsuit after another against his main rival, Donald Trump, and targeting conservative media outlets to silence dissent against their radical agenda.
Joe Biden even claimed credit for reducing inflation—despite the fact that inflation reached a 40-year high due to his failed policies.
Though the speech was largely predictable, he did veer off-script at one point. Right after repeating the debunked “very fine people” hoax about Charlottesville, which even mainstream news outlets have discredited, Biden made the following comment.
In the same speech in which Biden said he ran because of Trump’s “very fine people” remark after Charlottesville, he says of the openly pro-Hamas demonstrations outside the DNC: “Those protesters out in the street. They’ve got a point.”

“To end the civilian suffering of the Palestinian people and finally deliver a ceasefire and end this war.” pic.twitter.com/6u2yKKuuPs
According to Joe Biden, the radical pro-Hamas rioters outside the DNC, who are promising to “bring the war home” while burning American flags, “have a point.”
Not surprisingly, Joe Biden’s comment led to justifiable outrage.
No Israel. No Jews. No Palestinian atrocities. No Hamas. Just "Palestinian people", "Palestinian suffering," and GAZA, GAZA, GAZA."

Oh, and the Hamas mob calling for the destruction of the USA and the Jews, and the police outside? They "have a point." https://t.co/VdC0qbG3XT
After Biden’s speech ended, it was revealed that he improvised the line, “they have a point.” Even his handlers weren’t foolish enough to include that in the teleprompter.

Wow.

Biden's line that he believes the pro-Hamas extremists outside the DNC "have a point" was not part of his speech.
He just felt that in his heart and decided to add it in there. pic.twitter.com/MXkyAA25jo
Several of the absurd claims and blatant lies made during his speech were widely shared on social media.
