The Biden administration’s border policies have led to a crisis at the border. From February 2021 to February 2024, the administration oversaw nine million border encounters, not including “known got-aways.” Despite this, RINOs are reluctant to initiate an impeachment trial against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Now, as the impeachment process moves to the Senate, Conservative advocacy group Heritage Action plans to target GOP senators who vote against moving forward with an impeachment trial against Mayorkas. Heritage Action’s Executive Vice President, Ryan Walker, stated, “Lawmakers who claim that impeaching Secretary Mayorkas is a waste of time or the Senate is too busy to hold a trial are not only absurd, they’re massively out-of-touch with the voters who sent them to Washington.”
The Washington Examiner reported:
Conservative advocacy group Heritage Action is planning to target Senate Republicans who have voiced plans to vote against proceeding with a trial on the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
The sister organization of the Washington-based Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit think tank, told the Washington Examiner on Monday morning that it will unleash its own campaign to whip GOP senators into line and ensure the Mayorkas trial comes to fruition later this week.
“The border crisis, which was created and facilitated by this administration, is now the number one concern of Americans,” Heritage Action Executive Vice President Ryan Walker said in a statement. “Lawmakers who claim that impeaching Secretary Mayorkas is a waste of time or the Senate is too busy to hold a trial are not only absurd, they’re massively out-of-touch with the voters who sent them to Washington.”
House managers in the case will deliver the two articles of impeachment to the upper chamber on Wednesday, nearly two months since the lower chamber impeached Mayorkas.
The advocacy group pledges to declare any procedural motion introduced by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer as a “key vote.”
Moreover, any Republican aligning with Democrats to dismiss or table the impeachment trial will face significant backlash, including targeted messaging toward Heritage Action’s two million grassroots supporters. The group stresses that such a vote would be viewed as complicity in Schumer’s “cover-up” and the border crisis itself.
“Anyone who does Schumer’s bidding and votes to dismiss or table will be complicit in his cover-up and the border crisis itself,” Walker said, according to Newsmax. “Senators who would rather focus on the terrible bills Schumer has put forward instead of holding a trial for Mayorkas cannot be trusted by conservatives. Heritage Action stands with Americans demanding accountability and will key vote any procedural move put forth to sweep the charges against Mayorkas under the rug.”

Last month, House Speaker Mike Johnson informed Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer that the House would deliver the articles of impeachment against DHS Chief Alejandro Mayorkas to the Senate on Wednesday, April 10.
Speaker Johnson stated, “Together with the 11 House impeachment managers, I sent a letter to Senator Schumer telling him we’ll deliver the articles of Secretary Mayorkas’ impeachment to the Senate on April 10th and that he must hold a full trial.”
“The American people deserve accountability,” he added.
