BREAKING: Trump Gets Victory in Court as Judge Rejects Attempt to Keep Him Off the Ballot

President Trump has achieved another legal victory, this time thanks to a ruling by an Obama-appointed judge. The case seeking to exclude the Republican front-runner from appearing on the Florida ballot in 2024 has been swiftly dismissed.

In Judge Robin Rosenberg’s ruling, he stated that the plaintiffs did not have the legal standing to bring the case against Trump. The case alleged that he violated the 14th Amendment by inciting a riot during the January 6, 2021 protests at the Capitol. It’s important to note that Judge Rosenberg did not assess the merits of the argument; instead, she concluded that Lawrence Caplan, a Boynton Beach attorney, and two others lacked the necessary “standing” to pursue the challenge.

“Plaintiffs lack standing to challenge Defendant’s qualifications for seeking the Presidency,” Rosenberg stated. She further elaborated that the “injuries alleged” from the Capitol Hill protest over two years ago “are not cognizable and not particular to them.” Additionally, she emphasized that “an individual citizen does not have standing to challenge whether another individual is qualified to hold public office.”

Caplan had told USA Today earlier that he believed there were substantial reasons to pursue his lawsuit. His argument rested on the fact that he is not a candidate for public office in Florida, making it challenging for him to argue that he was personally harmed by appearing on the same ballot as President Trump. Nevertheless, he argued that President Trump’s involvement in inciting the events of January 6th was so evident that it should warrant his disqualification from holding public office.

“The 14th amendment is very clear that you do not need a conviction. You need to be accused and obviously there has to be a rationale for the accusation,” Caplan said at the time. “I read the amendment and I read the facts of the indictment, and they match very closely.”

This ruling comes shortly after a challenge was filed by John Anthony Castro of Texas, a presidential candidate, contesting Trump’s eligibility to be on the ballot in New Hampshire. This challenge raised similar concerns about Trump’s qualifications. New Hampshire’s Republican attorney general, John Formella, said that he is carefully examining Judge Rosenberg’s decision before issuing an opinion of the challenge in his state.

As President Trump’s popularity continues to surge, following four criminal indictments, those opposed to the GOP front-runner are trying everything they can think of to prevent him from returning to the White House. Recent polls indicate that Trump holds an advantage over Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup.

Tucker Carlson recently suggested that Democrats may even become desperate enough to make an attempt on Trump’s life should all else fail.
